So I kind of forgot to do a proper announcement for this, but I’m finally heading overseas again, uh, tomorrow. And I have a new website to blog on as well! I got sick of 3 different travel blogging websites shutting down on me, so I made my own site. Not all of my past entries are up yet, but the ones for this trip will be up roughly daily. (If you followed any of my older blogs you know I had a bit of a struggle sticking to that sort of schedule…)
Now, as to the trip itself, it’s a bit of a whirlwind this time:
- London
- Chester
- A 3 day tour of the Orkney Islands with Rabbie’s
- Over to Amsterdam
- Brussels
- Ypres
- And finally Paris and fly back from there.
Other than the flights there and back (via Dubai on Emirates), and the one from Inverness to Amsterdam, all travel will be done by train (or mini-bus in the case of the tour). All told, it should take almost 4 weeks, although it does take a while to get over there – one of the downsides to living in Australia. Anyway, I’ve got about 24 hours til I have to be at the airport, so still plenty of time to pack and figure out what to do in each city. If you have any tips or ideas, I’d love to hear them!
